My family does have a smoke detector. It's located in the hallway by my staircase. It's really sensetive, so if something burns in the kitchen, it will go off.

My family does have a fire alarm. We have one upstairs in our hallway (right next to my room), and one downstairs in our basement.

My family has 2 smoke dectors in my house. One is in the hallway to my brother's room and the other is located upstairs in my hallway. I say my hallway because my room is on the top and I'm all by myself. We change the batteries every 2 years at least.
