Today is Veteran's Day. You need to write a letter that will be sent to the Veteran's Hospital in Chicago. In the letter I would like you to
- write one paragraph briefly telling about yourself,
- one paragraph telling the veteran what living in a free America means to you,
- and one paragraph thanking them for serving in the military.
Don't forget to sign your name. I have put out markers and colored pencils if you'd like to color the boarders. I want you to compose this letter once you are done with your journal.
Once you are done with the letter, you may work in Study Island or work on your essay that is due today in My Access.
- Pretend that you just won free tickets to your favorite musical artist's concert. The problem is if you go to the concert, you will miss your best friend's birthday party. Explain what you would do.
- If you could invite 5 people to attend a special dinner, who would you choose? Explain why you are inviting each person.

Ok if I had the chance to go to my favorite artists concert I would go. If my friend has a birthday party that day I would stop to their house on my way to the concert and give them their brthday present and wish them a happy birthday. Because if they really were your bestfriend they would understand that you really what to see this band.
If I had tickets to my favorite musical and my Best friend B-day was that day... I would try to see if I could take her with me.Well because it is her birthday then I would take her with me. If I didnt have two tickets then I would go to her party because she my best friend.
if i could invite 5 people to a special dinner i would invite my best friends taylor,jesse,savaghna,jessica and chris because they are my friends and they keep me in mind when they do things so i keep them in mind when im making dessions.
If i could invite five to go to a special dinner with I would take my friend Michi, Jessica, Gage, Heather, Joe. My friends Michi, Heather, and Joe go to Washington. Then Jessica and Gage go to our school. I would pick them because they are my best friends and I love spending time with them.

What I would do if I gt got tickets to see my favorite artist and my bestest friend had a birthday party on the same day I would go to my best friends birthday party. The reason I would do that is because even tho the artist is my favorite ever I will always be there for my bestest friend. I dont really even care if I do miss the concert there is always other times I will be able to go some place to see my favorite artist.:} :} :}
If i got the chance to go to a concert but miss my best friends birthday then I would just go to the concert. If I could the I would just bring my best firend with me to the concert. If I couldnt breing her then I would just go to her birthday because there would be other concerts or I could just wach it on TV if they show it on there. I would rather just go to my best friends birth day because I care more about ower friend ship then some concert.
If I got yickets to Chris Brown's concert I would definately go. Because I always see my best friend at school and Chris Brown Iis one in a million chances to go to his concert. I would tell my friend that I'll go to her house the next day to give her her present. I would just be honest and tell her that I'm going to his concert. I really dont have to lie about it because later on if she finds out she will get mad so I'll just tell her the truth.
If I was to have a special dinner i would invite these 5 people:
1)My grandma, beacause she loves me very much and she means the world to me...if it wasnt for her I wouldnt be here!
2)My uncle Eirne, because he is like my 2nd dad and he always got my back!
3)My best friend Bianca, because i got her back and she has mine..and she is always here for me even when she is busy she diches them to come and comfort me!I L0V3 HER!
4)My aunt gina, because she always covers for me so I can go to partys and live a normal teenage life.
5)My 3 year old cusin Sasha, because i love her sooo much..she mean the world to me and i cant wait till she grows up because i will teach her how to live life like a lady{when she is 10 ill be 20!!}

If I could choose 5 people to a dinner with me I would choose Ashley, Rylee, Lisa, Shannen, and Gaston. A reason is because they are really good friends and it would be a blast.

I can be myself with her because we act the same way I love being around this chica this is who I would take to the concert with me.

My name is Danielle and I go to Dirksen and is in 8th grade. I like to read and be with friends. I have a great family who cares a lot about me. I am so thankful that there are people out there who are fighting to make life better here at home.
Living a free life in America is such a gift that most take for granted. I understnd that one day it might not be like this and there will not be the freedom of speach and do what ever you want one day if people like you don't fight for there family and friends.
