ReplyDeleteI do have a picture that has been handed down to us. My favorite old picture is of my grandmother and grandfather together before he was deployed into the military he has his suit on,and my grandmother is in a beautiful dress.It is special to me because I never got to meet them because they both died of cancer before I was born.

ReplyDeleteMy dad holds on to his U.S army coat which my grandpa gave him when he was a kid who was and still is in the army today and is retiring real soon. He passed that jacket down to me and I out grew it and I will one day give it to my son.

ReplyDeleteA heirloom that I have is a picture of my uncle who used to be in the Honduras army and the picture is of him when he was young in the military carrying a machine gun.

ReplyDeleteYes I do have a favorite heirloom from my grandpa, the heirloom is this one solider helmet from the Vietnam war that was passed down from my great great grandpa to my grandpa and now my grandpa is passing the helmet down to me and wants me to pass it down to my kids.
ReplyDeleteThe item that came from an old generation was the helmet because, the helmet was just green and hard and it is dirty still from all the dirt and now the helmets are camo and have different colors for different jobs.
My family has cherished this because, no one else has ever found another helmet in that good of condition.
