John
Fitzgerald Kennedy, commonly known by his initials JFK, was the 35th President
of the United States, serving from January 1961 until he was assassinated in
November 1963.
"Ask
not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your
country." ~John F. Kennedy
I think what JFK meant in his famous quote was that, instead of always asking what the president can do for the country, think of ways you can help the country as well.
If you follow me then the country will be a better one. JFK wanted this but was shot with a sniper on November, 1963 by a young man. When he died many people were sad that a man doing great things would be killed.
JFK's quote probably means that you should do something for your country not let them do something for you or in other words make a difference for your country.
I think JFK's quote means to step up and do things for your country , help out and take responsibility , make a difference so we can all have a better life.
I think that J.F.K did/said tis because, he wanted the people to step up for their country. The country does do a lot for their country because, the people are unhappy and they want the world to be perfect for them but, the president was barely making everyone happy at the time but, then some person had to ruin everything and shoot him...J.F.K I heard that he was a good president.
JFK meant that people don't want to help there contry and they need to. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

JFK's famous quote is very affective and I feel that people have took this in and have tried to live by this just look at are large army and how many doctors ,lawyers, fire fighters . this shows that many people live by this famous quote.
JFK's quote "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country." in my opinion means 'Don't be selfish and think what does my country do for me?' think 'What can I do for my country?'
What I think that J.F.K.'s saying means is that you shouldn't ask what good is this country. But you should serve our country faithfully and remember what it has done for you and be grateful for all of it.
