Zoo Lion Adelor

Adelor, a personable 18 yr. old African lion who liked nothing better than to get the world's attention with a full-throated roar, of Lincoln Park Zoo's elegant lion house, was euthanized Wednesday morning because of failing health. "He had a personality and he was beautiful to look at and strong, but you could see a kindness in him. He was very close to his lionesses Myra and very protective his cubs."

    Yes , because when animals are in pain they should't have to live their whole life with the pain.

    Yes, if an animal is in pain you might as well put them out of their misert. Unless the injury is able to be fixed, but if not there's no point in suffering.

    I think that they should make it a very big decision. If they choose to Euthanized, they should only do it if he is in very much extreme pain.

    yes... I do think that animals should be euthanized. Yes it is sad but if animals are in pain most people dont want thierpets to suffer through the pain. When I was little my cat Ziggy was in pain, he had cancer... And we had to put him down. But I knew that he was in a better place and wasnt in anymore pain... :)

    Not all the time because their pain isn't always so serious but when they are in a great pain I can uderstand why they would put them to sleep. When they are not in lots of pain they should not put them to sleep.

    I feel really sad about that loin I guess they really had to. A animal shouldn't be euthanized unless like this lion they are in pain and suffering in their life. If anyone euthanizes an animal just to do it they should be put in jail. This is a reallysad story but I wouldn't want to be waching that animal suffer so they made a good dicesoin.

    I am a big animal person i absiloutly love animals (i am not a vegetarian or a vegain) i feel animals should be cared for just as much as a person because animals mean the same so why just leave it so i feel like they should do something about this and it is not that hard some people dont feel that same attention like if you were a animal wouldnt you want to be cared for and i rest my case.

    no because thats sad to see animals just get put to sleep. ut u can help them get better or you can just set them free it would be a lot better them because some time then cant spend there whole life in a zoo that not how its sipost to be with wild animaal but that is sad to me and not write at all :[ and i would under stand if it was and animal that would live with you like a dog or a cat but that still not wright sad sad sad :[

    I belive that it depends on the situation of the animal and the amount of pain that the animal is in,and also if it is a contagus deiseas and posses a threat to the other animals.
