Thursday, April 14, 2011

On this day in 1865 John Wilkes Booth shot President Abraham Lincoln. The President was at a play in Washington DC at the Ford Theater. After the shooting,Booth was found hiding in a barn and was arrested. Lincoln, was our 1st assassinated president, and was then buried in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois.

    Lincoln saved the people who were slave so by today there is no slavery so that is one fact he saved the slavery.People did not like what Lincoln had done so they send John Wilkes so he killed Lincoln but the good thing was that he saved the slaves.
