On this day, in 1863, President Lincoln gave his speech of "Four score and seven years ago" this speech on the Civil War in Gettsysburg was only 3 minutes long yet it is one of the most famous speeches of our country.

One day, a little girl told him in a sent letter that many women in her town enjoyed men with beards and thought they were attractive, so she told him to grow a beard to help get votes for him and it worked!
