October 3 Journal
Happy Wednesday. Go to Study Island when you are done. You'll have 30 minutes there. I am going to talk about Narrative writing some more today.
It's way diffren this year because of all the day1 and 2 it's way more diffrent.

ReplyDeleteI believe that no there should not be assigned bedtime because chilren have things to do just as well as everyone else. If children become assigne to an exact betime then they might be upset at the fact that they do have one.

Some things that are the same as last year are that I still have Ms. Machota and some things that are different are me going to the high school, being in 8th grade and learning new things.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Alexis, I am here stating on why stuents should HAVE an assigned bedtime. My first reason is because If they dont have one they stay up late, And in the morning they're to tried to get up and go to school. My second reason is because kids seem to get in more touble being up late dong things they shouldnt be doing. Who knows what they're doing? Thats why we need bedtimes, To get enough sleep, Everyone who doesnt get enough are cranky and tried. So we need Bedtimes like it or not. Thank you for your time.

As a start, I would like to say I like this year way better then last year. I was at a school with Uniforms and VERY strict teachers. we barely had anytime to be teenagers because we were so busy doing projects or something like that. I deffinately like this year better because i can express myself in the way I and also we dont stay with the same class all day so we get to see different people all day. I also like the fact the teachers are nicer. =]
ReplyDeleteDear Joilet Hearld, News I dont think kids should have an assigned bedtime. I feal that we should sleep when ever we want to. I also think it's not fair for us to be having a bedtime because we now when we are tierd. My last reason on this is because I feal that we can have our on opinion on this ither sleeping early or sleeping late.

We know how to get up on our own even if we go to bed at a late time. We'll some kids do anyway. You can't keep depending on your parents all the time.
What is different from last year is day 1 and 2 shedual. And the different is last year we had 2 periods of math now we don't. The similar from last year and this year we are learning the same things as last year. We have same advisor Mr. Sartain.

ReplyDeleteSo far this school year has had a bigger band, a bigger choir, and a bigger orchestra, but we seem to not be doing many things with our Dirksen Dollars this Year.

ReplyDeleteLast year I went to Heritage Middle School, I was a sixith grader and on team 6b, Last year we were able to sit where ever we wanted to, this year we have to sit during lunch, this year we have to sit with our class. Last year we did not have blocks and this year, we have blocks everyday.The simliarities between Heritage last year and Dirksen this year are that students needed a pass to walk through the hallway and basically everything else is new to me.
ReplyDeleteI think that the assigned bedtime should be 11:59:59. Also because we should beable to do whatever we want in the daytime. Because we can't go out to bars at night with our friends so the daytime should be our time to have fun.
ReplyDeleteHow last year was the same as is all the teachers are nice an help you out when you need it . They give you extra credit . How this school year is different is I know where everything is and I id know because I went to Dirksen in kidngarden here . Also the grade (7th) is harder and getting harder then last year and you make even more friends . So that is how school is a like an different from last year and alike .

In my opinion I think last year was more fun because I knew most of the people from elementy but know I needed to start making new friends again thats a big difference between this year and the past . A thing that I think they are is that both I enjoy being in.
ReplyDeleteWe have longer gym times and have writer's workshop and the teacher who teaches the class is the best teacher I ever had and her name is Mrs.Machota.That is this year and last year we didn't have writers workshop and we had gym all year long.This year we have gym three quarters

ReplyDelete2. your with older kids instead of younger. 3. you learn harder thtings. Lastely you do more funnier things
This year is different from last year beacause this year is a little bit harder trying to get to class on time. This year is like last yaer by math and the teachers.
ReplyDeleteThis year is so COOL! the reason why I say this is because last year at LyneeThigpen was kinda ((dumb no ofense teachers!))the difference is that here at Dirksen you are allowed to talk with ur friends but at Lynee Thigpen it is a quiet zone!!! Booooooooo! The a like thing is that both schools have teachers and hallways.

I think that children should have a bed time but teens shouldn't have too!!!
little kids should have a bedtime so they can wake up in the morning to go to school but us jr high students dont need it becouse we know when we should go to school.
