Labor Day

This weekend we have Monday off for Labor Day. Labor Day, is a holiday that pays tribute to the American workers. Labor Day started out to honor all who worked in the labors. Now we usually consider it an end of summer party.

What is your favorite thing to do on a nice day off of school? Sleeping is not an option!

HAPPY HUMP DAY

Literacy means
"to comprehend and understand what you read?"
Today tell me in a complete sentence something you do NOT understand.

This is my example:
I do not understand how people can litter. I am appalled when I see someone throw something out their car window. I believe in Keep America Beautiful

Welcome to Literacy Lab!
Everyday you will be expected to respond to the daily BLOG. You will be receiving points for each post you make. By the end of the quarter you should have made 21 posts. Be sure that you have written in full sentences and you have checked your spelling before posting since everyone in class will see what you have written. Have fun with your blog, remember everyone can read what you wrote. :-)

1. Would you rather know how to play an instrument well or draw well? Explain.

Think about starting fresh and positive. Remember it is a whole new year and leave any bad habits behind. What is one thing you want to remain the same about you and one thing you want to change about you for this school year?
